Junior Engineer for Video Games
To support the revival of classic games, the remote Junior Generalist Engineer for Video Games will design, build, and refine emulators while collaborating with engineers and QA to optimize performance and ensure compatibility.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in developing, maintaining, and expanding existing emulators and tools
- Help maintain the CI/CD pipeline, including installing new tools and writing scripts
- Reverse engineer games to patch bugs and implement modern enhancements
Required qualifications
- 1-3 years of generalist engineering experience with a focus on video game development
- Strong scripting language skills (Python, Lua, etc.)
- Excellent C/C++ skills and understanding of algorithms
- Ability to communicate effectively in a remote team environment
- Genuine passion for retro games and emulation
